FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND

Well, we went up to Hill Country for the 4th of July.  We left Thurs evening and it's a five to six hour drive.  On Friday we went to Luckenbach and Fredericksburg and hung out at the deer lease.  On Saturday we tubed down the Comal River.  Sunday, of course, we made out way back, plus an extra hour or so driving due to unknown traffic problems on the way.

(above)  This is the cabin on the deer lease.  If I remember correctly, the deer lease encompasses over 800 acres.  But we generally only stay on the section above as none of us hunt.

Luckenbach...The guy below kind of startled us.  I never saw a dude riding a longhorn before.

I finally found my drinking hat.  And it did a great job keeping the sun off my face and neck during the whole trip also.

(below)  We did some shooting on Friday.  The scope was so low-slung that it was actually more difficult to shoot.  I also got stung by a wasp shortly after this photograph.

I didn't get any photos on the river.  Obviously I couldn't bring my camera with me.  Mikey had some waterproof disposable cameras.  Hopefully there will be some good pics from them soon.

Wow, it's been a whole month since I posted.  That is strange.  I guess I've been so busy working that I haven't found the time.  And I've been kind of obsessive on the Challenger forum I frequent.  I really haven't even had much time aside to play video games, so you KNOW I've been busy in that case.  I do make it here and look at what you all have posted.  I'm not far off and will post something real here shortly.
