Okay, today I woke up with an aching throat and a bad cough. I didn't even realize my voice was going out until I spoke to Jana. So, originally I was going to go in today. But it looks like another sick day. I guess if you're going to be a slacker, might as well slack all the way.

Sick today...I started with a cough last night. Early this morning when I got up I still had the cough, but felt okay. I started feeling hot, weak and achy at work today. I feel a little better already, but I think I will get some NyQuil and hit the sack early.
Oh, Battlestar Galactica Season Four starts tonight.
EDIT: This made me laugh my ass off:

Howdy fellow Xangans,
Not too much has been happening over the last couple of days. Mainly a lot of sitting on my ass. It doesn't cost anything to sit on your ass... Well, it costs a little bit from keeping your body weight down and subtracts a little from your health. But I will pay that. I was in a class and found out why I am such a couch potato. The instructor spoke about how cops are always on high alert when at work. They are aware of their surroundings, evaluating everything and everyone as a potential threat (something people outside of the job usually don't understand), and putting safety first in all things. When you get home you basically turn around totally and just need to wind down. He says studies show it takes 48 hours to return to normal. Unfortunately you're usually back to work before those 48 hours are up. The exception are days off, assuming you're off more than 48 hours. Interesting stuff.
EDIT: Doesn't it suck when you can't remember an old friend's name? Especially when it was someone who was a major friend. I'm trying to think of a pal's name and it is escaping me.

Not too much happened in my neck of the woods today. I had the day off. The only outside excursion I had was a short trip to Best Buy with something very specific in mind. I spent the day watching episodes from Battlestar Galactica Season 3 and playing the Club on Xbox 360. It was raining outside for some of the day, so that made it feel even better to stay indoors. All in all it was a very enjoyable day, in a boring sort of way. I will finish the final DVD of Galactica Season 3 sometime during the week, just in time for Season 4 to start on Friday.
I'm going to hit the sack early tonight. I have a work-related class tomorrow and Tuesday. It's been kind of quiet around here over the last week.
EDIT: It's kind've weird to look at your footprints and see that you're set up as one of those RSS Feeds people use for blogging. Especially when it isn't linked to someone else's blog and comes out of a state you where you can't think of anyone who would know about your blog. But, I guess it is either a friend, or I should take it as a compliment.

I had a good time last night. That would be after working my 10 hour off-duty job, which is incredibly boring, but there are some nice folks there. Anyway, we went to Tokyo restaurant to celebrate some friends getting married. Their wedding is coming up, but it is in California, and Jana and I can't afford to go. Anyway, I ate some sushi (the cooked kind). I had a Texas Roll and an Obe Roll. Good stuff. And that wasabi really cleared out the old nostrils.
Afterwards we went to Rigormortis' house and played a little Rock Band. I think I'm coming to the decision that I don't want to buy that game. I just enjoy it in small doses when I go to their house. Small doses, I say...we played for five or six hours straight the first night (last week). I don't know if that qualifies as a small dose.
I don't think someone got the memo in the lottery commission. I didn't win. I only had one number. Good thing I didn't run out and buy that fancy BMW yet.
I went out and got Battlerstar Galactica Season 3. Man, that is an awesome show. The new season starts next Friday. It's a shame this is the last season. But at least it is ending on the creator's terms and not the studio's. Plus there might be some TV movies coming out for it.
Alright, folks, gotta go watch some more BSG. Catch you all later.

You know, I have no idea why I haven't been around here much lately. I've gone past four years on the site. I still love it here. I imagine it is normal to have periods when you are less active over that amount of time. I still feel like this is another family for me.
Hmmm, what has been happening lately? I've been working a lot, of course. And playing on the old Xbox 360. I just discovered Rock Band. That is a great game.
Oh, I just increased my chances of winning the Texas Lottery by a whole lot. How? I actually bought a lottery ticket. My chances were pretty slim without buying one. Now they are only slightly less slim, but there is a chance of winning. So here is to winning the jackpot of $71,200,000. Wish us luck.
I've been feeling bored lately. I don't know why. Just a general feeling. Probably because I can;t afford to do much. I hope that changes soon.
One of my favorite shows, Jericho, is probably gone for good now. The show had it's short second season of only seven or eight episodes. I don't know how it did. They said they filmed two endings for the season. One tied the series up, in case of the show not getting a third season. The second version was a cliffhanger leading into the third season. I thought the finale was a cliffhanger, so I'm hoping there is a third season planned. Another good sign for me is that it was referred to as a season finale and not a series finale. Should it not get picked up again, I have one final hope. The Scifi Channel has been showing old episodes of Jericho. And they have picked up canceled shows before and continued them with great success. Stargate SG-1 was one of those. I'm hoping they might pick up the show if it is canceled by CBS. A man can hope. It is a great show and I highly recommend it. Character development is excellent and you really start to become invested in the citizens of Jericho. EDIT: Apparently the show has been cancelled again. The makers of the show are trying to farm it out to another network.
They, there is a great site for people who are into gaming. The site is called GameStrata. It only launched recently. Essentially it will offer a lot of leaderboards for a variety of multiplayer games. The goal is for this site to be THE central location people go to for leaderboards. It also allows gamers to ask questions about games or review games and get answers from people who play the games. It has great potential. You should definitely go sign up. Plus, signing up through the link above moves me up through the GamerQ Leaderboard, where I am currently #5 and wishing to take the #1 spot. Signing up is free. So go sign up just for me, even if you have no intention of using the site.
P.S.: I think I need to just get back to basics here and post whatever is on my mind.
P.P.S: I was thinking I need a banner for the header of my site...buuuttt...I have no idea how to make one. I was hoping there was someone out there knowledgeable in making banners who also knows me some and what makes me who I am. I'd love something keeping with my shades of blue theme and some Weezer flying W action.
EDIT: Check this site out. It's pretty funny. You register with your Xbox 360 gamertag. The site then monitors your activity on the 360 and creates a blog as though it is your 360 blogging.

Sorry I haven't posted anything of value lately. I've been on a mini-hiatus. But I did find another funny video...
