I found a great Alpine in-dash stereo that I want. The wife has given me permission to get it as my Christmas gift from her. Even better, I found it online for around $140 less than in the stores. It has no CD capability. But it is satellite ready, and hooks up to an iPod and gives you full functionality from the stereo, w/out fiddling with the iPod. Plus, it keeps the iPod charged. I'm so excited that I've been burning all my CDs to the iTunes in anticipation of having them on the iPod and available in the car. Imagine, my whole (plus Jana's) CD collection in the car w/out the CD mess. Plus, I plan to subscribe to Sirius satellite radio. Another cool plus of the radio is that it is bluetooth enabled. So it will pick up my phone allowing me to be hands-free. It also has HD radio, which are the regular FM stations in HD quality and the AM stations in FM quality. But I don't plan on messing with that too much. You might need some kind of receiver also.
Well, I'm getting tired of typing around the pile of CDs on my desk. Later.

Holy cow it does everything but the dishes!
That does sound AWESOME!!!!
It sounds great. Sirius is almost a must anymore, kind of like the difference between having cable and regular TV, or dial up and high speed. I love it. The radio in my car has an MP3 player, so my meager collection can fit on one CD, which I regularly lose.
Can you tell I have barely learned how to even turn it on.
You will not get enough of Sirus satelite, it's addicting, in a good way.
how's life been?
happy november (thanksgiving and all)
That's cool. Have a great weekend.
Your assumption is correct. He always has a rifle with him when he's on his property. And especially when their are tracks. I don't remember if it was that video I posted or not, but he said in one of them that the snow was falling from the trees and it was freaking him out. He was scared it was a brown bear! They are the worst kind of bear around these parts. Black bears are usually skittish and run off. Brown bears have a reputation for far more maulings and killings. I think the polar bear may be even more deadly? not sure...
